Updated: Nov 9, 2023

October was a hectic month for Anel. A short play, a cabaret, and an industry reading took place in this month.

On October 20th. she performed the monologue of her authorship, The Memorial that We Had to Miss at Day of the Dead Cabaret. Produced by Quemocion Productions and Something from abroad, the show featured a cast of talented actors, dancers, and singers from all across Ibero-America. Jaime Lozano and Florencia Cuenca were the headliners of the event.

Only one day after, The Questioning, by Micheal Haggins, had it's first of two performances under the direction of Anel. Produced by Rising Sun Performance Company Here. Between, and Beyond and Evening of Haunted One-Acts, featured five short plays written, directed and performed by members of the company.

The month finalized with the Industry reading of Dorothea Puente Tells All by Mark Lowenstern, directed by Lianne Kressin. Anel read the role of Ximena, a young Mexican lady who Dorothea took under her mentorship.

Anel is now off to sleep for an entire month (or weekend) and will be back in action soon. Stay tuned!
